High School and Basic Education Essay

As indicated by the K to 12 DepEd Primer (2011), â€Å"K-12 methods â€Å"Kindergarten and the 12 years of basic and auxiliary instruction. † Kindergarten focuses to the 5-year old kid who embraces the normalized educational plan for preschoolers. Basic instruction alludes to 6 years of elementary school (Grades 1-6) while optional training implies four years of middle school (Grades 7-10 or HS Year 1-4). What's more, two years are currently distributed for senior secondary school (Grades 11-12 or HS Year 5-6). Prof. Lorina Calingasan of the College of Education in UP Diliman clarifies that â€Å"K-12 methods expanding essential training by two years, so as opposed to having a secondary school graduate at 16 (years of age), we will have secondary school graduate at 18. † The DepEd conversation paper (2010) on the upgraded K-12 fundamental instruction program clarifies this new arrangement â€Å"seeks to give a quality 12-year essential training program that every Filipino is entitled to†. Moreover, the design isn't just to include 2 additional long stretches of training â€Å"but all the more critically to upgrade the essential instruction curriculum†. What is the basis for this program? There is a critical need to upgrade the nature of fundamental training in our nation as found in the instruction results of Filipino understudies and the similar drawback of the Philippines as to different nations. The accompanying information would bolster this clarification: At present, the Philippines is the main nation in Asia and among the three outstanding nations on the planet that utilizes a 10-year fundamental instruction cycle. As per an introduction made by the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO-INNOTECH) on Additional Years in Philippine Basic Education (2010), the relative information on term of Basic and Pre-University Education in Asia shows that the Philippines apportions 10 years for the essential training cycle as well as for the pre-college instruction while the various nations have either 11 or 12 years in their fundamental instruction cycle. Accomplishment scores feature our students’ horrible showing in national assessments. The National Achievement Test (NAT) results for grade 6 in SY 2009-2010 indicated just a 69. 21% passing rate while the NAT results for secondary school is at a low 46. 38%. Also, global tests brings about 2003 Trends in International Mathematics and Science study (TIMSS) show that the Philippines positioned 34th out of 38 nations in HS Math and 43rd out of 46 nations in HS II Science. In addition, the Philippines positioned the most reduced in 2008 even with just the science secondary schools joining the Advanced Mathematics classification. A few reasons why not can't help contradicting K-12 instruction plan in the Philippines First if K-12 will be executed, understudies will have the option to get adequate instructional time to do subject-related undertakings which makes them progressively arranged and all around prepared on that branch of knowledge. Then again, in the event that we stay on the old framework, Filipino understudies would ceaselessly get low accomplishment scores. For example, worldwide test outcomes uncovered that we frequently come at the last part in the tests contrasted with different nations. Second motivation behind why we should bolster K-12 is that the alumni of this program will be progressively arranged to enter the work power. As we as a whole saw, secondary school alumni of the present educational program are not yet employable for the explanation that they are not yet capable and well †outfitted with the aptitudes required in the working environments. Likewise, most secondary school graduates are not yet arriving at the legitimate age of 18. With the new educational program, senior secondary school understudies can pick a field that they are acceptable at and that they are keen on. Thus, they will be furnished with the aptitudes required for a particular activity even without a higher education. At 18 years old, the age when they move on from secondary school, they will be employable and serious as of now. Along these lines, signifying the nation’s labor. At last, with K-12, Filipino alumni will be consequently perceived as experts abroad in light of the fact that we are observing the global training standard as rehearsed by all countries. There will be no compelling reason to concentrate again and go through more cash so as to meet all requirements to their norms. With this, Filipino experts who seek to work abroad won't locate a difficult time in landing positions in accordance with their picked field and will have the option to help their families more in the Philippines just as the country’s economy with their settlements, property purchasing, and production of organizations. Filipinos are known to be serious in the worldwide network. While this might be valid, our present instruction framework blocks us in getting progressively serious among different nations. The K-12 instruction plan offers an extraordinary answer for that issue. In any case, it is verifiable that there is by all accounts issues emerging as we actualize the program, for example, absence of government spending plan, homerooms and school supplies just as the instructors. However, on the off chance that we center around the drawn out impact of K-12, we can infer that it is exceptionally advantageous to us Filipinos. Along these lines, we should have the solid will in supporting K-12 Educational Plan for the improvement of our instruction framework and economy. Keep in mind, on the off chance that we need change in our general public, we should begin it with our training framework. Meaning of Terms Curriculum alludes to the parallel mix of school-based subjects to meet the capabilities requested by industry. South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) is a sanctioned universal association that plans to advance participation among Southeast Asian countries through training, science and culture. It works through specific territorial communities, three of which are facilitated by the Philippine government and incorporate the Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (INNOTECH). National Achievement Test (NAT) is a yearly assessment given to both Grade ninth and tenth understudies in the Philippines. The students’ information and dominance over the subjects Mathematics, Science, Filipino, and Araling Panlipunan is estimated utilizing a numerous decision type test. The assessment is regulated by the Department of Education’s National Educational Testing and Research Center (NETRC). Patterns in International Mathematics and Science study (TIMSS) gives solid and opportune information on the arithmetic and science accomplishment of U. S. fourth and eighth grade understudies contrasted with that of understudies in different nations. Procedure Living this cutting edge world we accumulate this data by leading examination through web. We read all the articles that depict k †12 fundamental trainings. By the assistance of this advanced innovation we decide how and why k †12 essential training help Filipinos to be utilized and lessens destitution in our nation. Outline of Findings World of K - 12 K †12 Basic Education Program is including 2 years from K †10 Basic. Training Program of our nation. K †12 are separated from kindergarten, rudimentary training (grade 1 †6), auxiliary instruction or middle school (grade 7 †10 or HS year 1 †4 ), and extra 2 years which alludes to senior secondary school (grade 11 †12 or HS year 5 †6 ). Following 12 years of essential training alumni of this educational plan are set up to have a place with the work power of the Philippines. Likewise K †12 alumni are perceived as experts abroad on the grounds that we are presently adhering to the worldwide training standard are practice by all country. Reference Velasco P. T. (2012). Writing Assignment over Demian by Hermann Hesse essays

Composing Assignment over Demian by Hermann Hesse expositions Demian, composed by Hermann Hesse and first distributed in 1919, is, at its heart, a novel of self-disclosure and self-completion. The tale itself, a self-portraying novel that was composed by Emil Sinclair, the focal point of the story, is intended to show an elderly person, whose journey of self-revelation is finding some conclusion, and his memories of past occasions and their capacity to shape his present world-see. Vital to the novel is this connection between the present manifestation of ones own character and the past occasions which have steadily made such thoughtful parts of oneself to rise and come to fruition. While at ordinarily affirming unmistakably and powerfully that the past is something which must be given up by a person so as to continue down the way that prompts ones genuine self, covered up inside the novel is the declaration that the past structures us and shapes us and ought to never be relinquished completely, yet, rather, ought to consistently be kept as an a fterimage of what once might have been. It is at exactly that point that we can start to locate our own street of self-completion. This doesn't appear to be finished coincidentally, as, in different instances of other such topics in Demian, Hesse astutely utilizes the duality of nature approach. He continually considers the to be as a world powerfully split into two domains, a dull, detestable domain and a light, great domain. Numbness of one domain is, as indicated by Hesse, a defect in ones own humankind, and must be defeated so as to arrive at the guaranteed nirvana of self acknowledgment. The more established, to some degree more astute Sinclair frequently expresses that the past is one of the individual hindrances which must be defeated so as to discover ones genuine self. He expresses that a lot of are trapped in [an] stalemate, and perpetually stick horrendously to a permanent past, the fantasy of lost heaven, which is the most noticeably terrible and generally heartless all things considered (Demian 41). To Sinclair, a fantasy of what... <!

Future Challenges of Healthcare Management (Essay Sample) Content: Future Challenges for Health Care ManagementAuthorà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s NameInstitution AffiliationFuture Challenges for Health Care ManagementEveryone tries as much as possible to sustain our health, and when we fall sick, we dedicate a safe amount of our wealth to regain our health. At this critical time, hospitals serve as our refuge. There are a couple of economic implications concerning this sector. In fact, according to the research, healthcare sector covers anything from eight percent to fifteen percent of almost all developed countriesà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ economy (Kieran, 2011, p. 1). We, however, at times forget to acknowledge the healthcare executive managers and administrative officials that manage these facilities. Hospitals management is a difficult task. The most crucial concern is the growing population. There has been an overwhelming breakthrough in the medical fields, with the invention of better curative drugs. Nowadays, many infections that were considered fatal in th e past are curable. This achievement has resulted in a significant population increase. We experience a constant rise in the birth rate and an enormous decrease in child mortality level. This progress has led to excessive dependency for health care services. Too many people demand these services. Healthcare managers will have to devise means of expanding their services to overcome this burden. Moreover, healthcare officials will have to identify proper channels to support their finance departments. With funds from government agencies and NGOs slowly trifling, many hospital workers have been worst hit. State hospitals mostly feel this predicament; frequently, motivating health workers to strike. The recent emergence of deadly diseases has worsened their condition. Hospitals must allocate a decent amount of research. Executive managers will need to balance their budgets between their short-term requirements and future expectations.Another issue of grave concern is the recent upsurge i n the total number of people ailing from chronic infections. Research done by the World Health Organization (2005), showed that many people have fallen victim to diabetes. About Joseph Eichler and West Coast Modernism

Real estate developer Joseph L. Eichler was not an architect, but he revolutionized residential architecture. In the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, many suburban tract homes in the United States were modeled after Eichler Houses built by Joseph Eichlers firm. You dont have to be an architecture to have an impact on architecture! Background: Born: June 25, 1901 to European Jewish parents in New York City Died: July 25, 1974 Education: Business degree from New York University Early Career: As a young man, Joseph Eichler worked for a San Francisco-based poultry business owned by his wifes family. Eichler became treasurer for the company and moved to California in 1940. Influences: For three years, Eichler and his family rented Frank Lloyd Wrights 1941 Usonian style Bazett House in Hillsborough, California. The family business was facing a scandal, so Eichler launched a new career in real estate. At first Eichler constructed conventional homes. Then Eichler hired several architects to apply Frank Lloyd Wrights ideas to suburban tract homes for middle class families. A business partner, Jim San Jule, helped craft shrewd publicity. An expert photographer, Ernie Braun, created the images that promoted Eichler Homes as carefree and sophisticated. About Eichler Homes: Between the 1949 and 1974, Joseph Eichlers company, Eichler Homes, constructed about 11,000 houses in California and three houses in New York state. Most of the West Coast homes were in the San Francisco area, but three tracts, including Balboa Highlands, were developed near Los Angeles and remain popular to this day. Eichler was not an architect, but he sought out some of the best designers of the day. For example, the celebrated A. Quincy Jones was one of Eichlers architects. Today, Eichler neighborhoods like the one at Granada Hills in San Fernando Valley have been designated historic districts. The Significance of Eichler: Eichlers company developed what became known as the California modern style, but he also was instrumental in the growing Civil Rights movement. Eichler became known for advocating fair housing during an era when builders and realtors often refused to sell homes to minorities. In 1958, Eichler resigned from the National Association of Home Builders to protest the organizations policies of racial discrimination. In the end, Joseph Eichlers social and artistic ideals cut into business profits. The value of Eichler Homes declined. Eichler sold his company in 1967, but continued to build houses until he died in 1974. Race as a Factor to Be Hired for Certain Jobs - 769 Words

The overall goal of my interview processes and data collecting were to find answers to one question, â€Å"How do you believe race plays a factor in the ability to be hired for certain jobs?†. Also, I wanted to ask if any of the interviewees felt as if the inability to get the job was due to any stereotypes. Over the course of different people I interview I received a wide range of answers, many of those siding with the fact that race plays an enormous part, and most even having stories of how their race may have hindered or helped them in the past due to different racial stereotypes. During the process of planning my interviews, I decided that I needed to choose the interviewees from a location of diversity and I felt that my own college peers would be perfect for the task. The first interviewer I chose was a professor of the college, Jose Hernandez age 42, born and raised in El Salvador. Professor Hernandez had lived in El Salvador until the age of 13 when his parents made the decision to move to the United States to ensure that their children would receive better education and opportunities. Once making it the U.S., he had to learn to read, write, and speak English and has now made it as a successful Spanish Professor at Kennesaw State University. Professor Hernandez and I decided to reserve a time during his office hours to meet. We met around noon and the interview lasted for about forty minutes.
